I will be running as the Greens candidate in Moggill in the Queensland state election of 2009.

While the campaign is on, most new materials about policy etc. will go to one of those, so don't expect too many updates here for a while.

What are some of the important issues?

• save the Great Barrier Reef: we need to push for alternatives to CO₂ emissions not just here but worldwide. We should be leading the world in clean energy, with our great sunshine and smart people, not waiting for others to show the way
  
• quality jobs for the future: we need to invest in the infrastructure for a post-oil economy now, not only when the reality hits us that cheap oil is no more (a worldwide recession evoking memories of 1929 is hardly a good fix)
• community building: Brisbane has evolved from a small city to a mini-LA, with terrible urban sprawl and patchy public transport. Our city needs an intelligent plan, not 1970s style thinking with a coat of green paint
