I thought we should share profiles within the group to better understand skillsets and backgrounds.

Simply edit the page below and add your entry. I've provided mine as a starting point :)

Craig Thomler
I'm a long-time online advocate and egovernment proponent.

With a Marketing Degree completed in the early '90s, I spent several years in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry in Marketing and Sales roles.

After a year traveling and working around Asia and Europe, I got interested in the development of the internet, having had my first experiences with the online world back in the early 80s using bulletin boards.

I joined one of Australia's first ISPs as their Customer Service Manager in late 1995 and soon after a group of us stepped out to found one of the first web content companies.

Since then I've been working, more or less, in the online industry, supporting large Australian companies (such as Telstra and Warner Music) with their online engagement and founding a number of start-ups in areas from mobile applications to online publications. Along the way I've written or co-written around a dozen books on the topic, spoken at a lot of events and won a couple of AIMIA awards as well as founded companies in unrelated areas that were internet enabled, such as resources and property.

I joined the public sector in late 2006 and have been working in the eGovernment area ever since, first for the Child Support Agency and recently for the Department of Human Services.

For more, visit my profile at LinkedIn or on my blog, eGovAU, where I discuss all things eGovernment from an Australian perspective.

Nathanael Boehm
I'm a web user interaction designer in Canberra. My expertise is in web user experience and interaction designer, user interface implementation, social experience design, social media and Government 2.0. I'm a strong advocate of Gov 2.0: open data, social media in gov, cultural change in gov etc; Up until September 2009 I was working for the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations which included co-managing a social media and communication strategy. I also implemented and managed several social media channels including a blog and Twitter which we used to converse and collaborate with users and stakeholders of our project; I explain a little more about this in an brief interview with Alistair Nicholson available on YouTube.
