Subject: Sitemap generation
We have always had a small hand generated sitemap for our ecomm site
but recently with new site build decided to use an online generator
(Micro-sys A1).

It has created a sitemap with over 30k urls, all from the search
options within the site.

We have 1500 products, so this is about the correct number of search
combinations for colour, sizes etc etc in the dB, but the final
landing page is 1500 products.

Will Goggle think we are conning it, and think we have duplicate
content?

Should we stick with our hand generated 50 urls (these are the section
headings) or submit the whopper?

Hi aquillegia,

You should only include URL's in the Sitemap
that that you want Google to find and index.

Also understand that you should not allow
Google to access any onsite search.
That would be like trying to include search results
in a search engine.

Consider this post by Matt Cutts regarding
Search results in search results.

Hope that helps,
Abracadabra
