When I click over the result link, obtained by typing a search text,
it opens in the same window. So i lost the other results. Instead of
that, it will be good, if it opens in a new window. Otherwise, i have
to right click and select open in new winow/tab.
Why can't it be made as default setting in Google?

Because it would cause unmitigated on-screen chaos for most normal
users?
Your keyboard has a Backspace key, the browser has a Back button and
most sensible browsers have a 'Recent Pages' drop-down alongside the
back/forward buttons.
Or... if you really want to be a clever bugger about it, just hold
down the Ctrl key when clicking on a link, since this will open it in
a new tab/window, ;-)
