I submitted my site to Google about a week and a half ago and it has
started to index some of the pages on my site. When i type into Google
search: site: www.mydomain.com it shows a couple of my pages and then
this link below:

"In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some
entries very similar to the 2 already displayed.
If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results
included."

When I click this link and expand a number of other pages appear. Why
have some pages been omitted from the initial results? Is it because
my pages descriptions are too similar?

There is no problems like this with www.mydomain.com  It works fine.

But if the problem is with www.yourdomain.com, then please share it,
so that sy may help.

Generally this means that the pages are considered similar, not just
the descriptions.
