Hi Land,

If I am understanding you correctly you want
to change your keywords and want to know
it it affect the _old_ ranking.

Well, Maybe but how do you plan to change
keywords?

Google does not use the meta keywords for ranking
so that method won't do it.

So to answer your question, If you change the meta
keywords that will not affect your _old_ ranking.

Hope that helps,
Abracadabra
