Hi Joekid
First off - your posts would be much more readable if they used normal
capitalization :-). I know it's not always easy if you're not english
native (I'm not) - it would be more readable if all words were lower
case. :-)
You are confusing 2 things there - and you're not the only one :-)
The sitemaps with 100 links are HTML sitemaps on your website (not the
normal Google XML Sitemap files). The limit of 100 links is partly
because users will have a hard time using a page with more links and
partly because Google will not value the pages you're linking to with
that many links (they won't help to get indexed).
For a HTML sitemap I would really suggest keeping the numbers down way
below 100, perhaps at 50. Try to pick the 50 best pages - or perhaps
categories and subcategories, or perhaps 25 categories and 25 "newest
pages". Be creative - and remember to do it mainly for the user :-).
For the XML Sitemap file you can use up to 49'999 URLs in one file. If
you need more you can number them as you mention and either submit them
manually or create a sitemap-index-file to list the sitemap files. But
from the 400 URLs you mention I think you still have some time for that
:-)
