Hi Terry
I'm not sure which street you are particularly interested in but BCC
Archives is probably the best bet to check for original naming although som=
e
of their records are a little sketchy and some are non existent. Windmell
owned land in the vicinity. I don't have anything to hand on Winn or
McLachlan. New Farm & Districts Historical Society may be able to help you.
Spring Hill & Districts Historical Society has folded but I believe Cr
Hinchliffe may have knowledge of some of their records.

As for the history on your house, have you consulted the "Your house has a
history - keys to unlocking its past" - a guide published by BCC c2004?

Ray
