I wonder if this could be the bridge from which "Bridge Street" takes its
name and links east-west between Wickham and Ann streets, Fortitude Valley.
This area was very low lying in fact much of what constitutes Wickham Street
today had to be built up and the fill mostly came from cutting down Duncan
Hill where All Hallows stands today. It sounds feasible to me. Ann Street
was formerly Eagle Farm Road. Do you think it could have been known as Queen
Street before that? Wickham Street did not exist until the late 1850s or
early 1860s - I'd have to look it up to be certain.

Cheers
Ray

Here`s a puzzler:

'1855-for sale 20 allotments in Queen Street, Fortitude Valley--right
in the very heart of Fortitude Valley, close to the new
bridge-----'Moreton Bay Courier

Any thoughts?
