WELCOME to the FVSS Past Pupils homepage, and a special welcome to those who began school with us in 1948 and finished in 1956. A small group of us from the class of '48-'56 met on Monday, 5 November 2007. For some, it was the first time we'd met in almost 55 years. For others, not quite so long - a mere 28 years. The meeting came about as a result of some urging from a few who said "Let's meet over a cuppa and a bite to eat."  Some dozen or so former pupils and a couple of brave spouses/partners attended and judging by the comments, it was a great idea that was well received. There is agreement that we should arrange another meeting circa May or June 2008 and with this in mind we thought what a good idea it would be to swell the numbers. With this in mind, yours truly has put together this web site with the hope of touching base with former school mates and thereby generating interest in as many as possible to attend the next get-together. We'd like to hear from you.

Elsewhere on this site you will see reference to the school reaching its 150th year in 2011 and the hope is that all past pupils will return to school for a reunion that year. This web site has, therefore, a dual purpose: it is hoped that it will act as the catalyst for past pupils to spread the word and to register interest.
