As of 30 minutes ago, having wrapped up the last of my BarCampCanberra
2008 responsibilities that have taken up a bit of my time over the

It might be some sinister purpose, but if I were designing the
product, I would include a watchdog timer to recover from software
failures by automatically rebooting the device. This could quite
easily interfere with unanticipated flashing.
