I was looking for a solution to integrate Google Apps with our Active
Directory, it seems i need to implement SSO if i want to use the same
password, i am not sure if ESOE will be too complicated for this and
is meant for more complex problems, any suggestions?
also if this implementation would enable IMAP access to Google Apps
using Outlook and would mobile devices also be able to use this for
authentication?
Any insight would be appreciated,

Hi,

You'll probably find that ESOE is *way* to complicated for you needs  
here.

To give ourselves a plug I'd suggest our commercial product GConnect http://intient.com/products/gconnect/index.html
  which is easy to install, very cost effective and supported.
