When I try to configure esoe with my local apacheds I get the
following error - ESOEDAOException when attempting to configure ESOE
details --- The error occurred in sqlmaps/esoestartup-sqlmap.xml. ---
The error occurred while applying a parameter map. --- Check the
esoestartup.entityDescriptorMap. --- Check the statement (update
failed). --- Cause:
com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException:
Duplicate entry '1' for key 1

 I am pretty new to esoe. Here is my configuration setup

It seems from the below that you may have run two instances of ESOE
startup, the first possibly failed for some reason.

I would advise using mysql manager to access the database and drop all
existing tables, you should then be able to run the tool again
successfully. Please note it can take a while for the tool to complete
given it needs to generate a lot of crypto.

But I get the following error
