Subject: custom authenticators
Dear Bradley,Shaun et All,

Thanks a lot for the wonderful product. You guys have done really
wonderful job.

I have few more queries :)-

We have an inhouse authentication and authorization module which runs
locally in web based applications. these application run in jboss app
server and interact with sun's ldap server.

- We want to move the authentication and authorization part out of
every aweb pplication and centrally managed.

- We want to introduce ESOE in to authentication&authorization part
with minimal change in the existing code base.

Is there anything specific with jboss environment need to be taken
care?

If I want to write my own custom authenticator how to do that? Is
there any javadoc/example available to do that?

Thanks,
Elyas

Hi,

We've had people use the system in JBoss before and it seemed to work
pretty well as I recall. We've got nothing concrete though so do let us
know what challenges you face with deployment if any and the fixes,
perhaps we could get you to contribute a wiki page on this at some point.

All the standard authenticators use the same default plugin/pipeline
mechanism you'd need to extend. Have a look at say the Username/Password
+ LDAP authentication handler.

Bradley

Hi Elyas,

That is the correct URL for the svn client to use, as well as being viewable
in your browser

http://svn.esoeproject.org/repos/esoe/trunk/esoeauthnplugins/username...

Shaun
