Subject: Just launched my Enki blog - I owe you a big thank you!
Hiya

I've just launched my new blog using Enki :

www.pixellatedvisions.com

There's a couple of things that I've implemented that I'll be pushing
up to GitHub and blogging about in the coming weeks. Hopefully I'll be
able to contribute a little back with features such as :

* Contact page : fires off the content of the contact form off to you
as an email and also maintains an archive of all previous messages in
the admin section. Integrates with the dashboard as well.

* Recaptcha on comments : this was a little fiddly to get working when
using openID authentication but it works a treat now. Might save some
people some time and hassle.

* Flickr feed : I'm not sure how this would integrate in with the
default theme but I'll try. I was naughty and didn't develop this in
it's own branch so I've got to extract it out somehow which could be
fiddly. Lesson learned.

* Post archive : I've hacked together a new controller which can view
posts by month and a partial which displays the previous n months
(user definable) and how many posts were in each month. You'll see
what I mean when you look at the site!

Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for your efforts on Enki. It
rocks!

Cheers

Anton

Nice!
Be sure to add your branches to the wiki:
http://wiki.github.com/xaviershay/enki

(this goes for others who haven't done so as well)

I think the features you've added are awesome, but belong in a separate
branch to trunk, which I'm trying to keep simple.

Once I've written some tests for the above features I'll be ready to
start pushing them up to github. Hopefully in a week or so I should be
ready.

I've just blogged about a quick hack to get images uploaded to enki if
people are interested :

http://www.pixellatedvisions.com/2009/02/23/uploading-files-for-enki-...

I was pondering about implementing file uploads in Enki but when I
hacked the above together I wondered whether I would actually need it.
We're programmers after all so we don't need no fancy flash based
image uploader!
