Subject: Install Errors Have Me Stumped
Hey,

So DHCP finds my network just fine and connects does all that for the
network configuration. Then onto configuring the package manager. I
have tried this with a few different mirrors ( ftp.us.debian.org,
ftp.debian.org, debian.yorku.ca and mirror.direct.ca) and all 4 give me
the following error:

"Installer Failed to access Mirror. This may be a problem with your
network or with the mirror. You can choose to retry the download,
select a different mirror or ignore the problem and continue without
all the packages from this mirror."

Retry does nothing different, tried different mirrors, if I Ignore I
get the following error:

"The security update on security.debian.org couldn't be accessed so
these updates will not be made available to you at this time. You
should investigate this later.
Comented out entries for security.debian.org have been added to the
/etc/apt/source.list file."

I haven't hit "continue" from that error, decided it would not be good.

I have tried changing routers, changing wires, change ports, going
directly from the cable modem. With all those options DHCP succeeds but
I have also configured it manually for my router (I don't know how to
for the cable modem as it has a dynamic IP... so tryiing to get it
after plugging directly into my laptop is beyone me) and I will then
get the same errors as I listed above when configuring the package
manager.

Any help you could provide on this would be great. (I am using the Etch
Beta 3 NetInst btw).

What are the contents of your /etc/apt/sources.list file?  Note it is
sources.list (plural) not source.list.  Can you ping ftp.debian.org,
etc.?  Do you have a firewall, and if so is it set up so FTP is allowed
to penetrate the firewall?
