Skipping FEAR loading screen?

When I load FEAR there's a loading screen that sits there for quite a few seconds playing this really horrible high pitched sound. Is there any way to skip this? I've looked for video files in the game's directory but can't see any.

Borderlands. A half way point reveiw.

I say "half way" but what I really mean is that I've reached level 25. To get to level 50 you have to play through the game a second time, much like Hellgate: London. Seeing as links to downloads for the demo of Avatar have started appearing, I decided to download it and take a look. I did this in the full knowledge that it is a Third Person Shooter with lots of vehicular and Mech combat, as well as Grunt style action. All I can say is wow.
