Bought it last night and so far mightily impressed.  Well worth the money!

I have the 360 version, but didn't get a long way into it as the slow
elevator loading sections were very annoying. Is it quicker at loading
on the PC?

US 9.99 this weekend. I haven't noticed any long delays, stuttering, or
texture problems. Maxrez is 1280x900.

I fully agree that it is a great buy at that price.

More or less instant on my setup, which isn't particularly fast at
loading as a rule.  Was running with 3GB ram, although also installed
Windows 7 64bit today and it runs even faster.

Thanks, I have it downloading at a disappointing 1MB/s so it will get
to play it sometime tomorrow.

I never played it on the PC since I was long done with it when even a
word that it was coming was mentioned. You're right though, it's
amazing what I at least am willing to put up with if a game is
interesting enough...

It runs a lot smoother on the PC, am enjoying it all over again.

By Jim, talk about convoluted!

I do enjoy a good plot, but I've lost track of who wants what from whom or
who and why and, more importantly, WHERE!

A multi level, multi location, map and I have no clue where I'm supposed to
be.

I am loving the game, but it really doesn't make things easy! I remember it
being a bit involved in KOTR, but this really is taking it to a new level.

Funny, here in the year 2009 I can walk from here to the shops and use my
satnav in "walking" mode to help me find the way, but in the year whatever
stardate some time in the future they seem to have neglected this simple
accessory.  At least in Deus Ex, you could tell where everywhere was because
it looked like it was supposed to - a back alley, or a hospital or a hotel.
Here, it's all the same.  And the lifts take *ages*.

Still, as I say, I am loving the game...

I didn't finish it because of this... I'd taken a two week holiday and
came back to discover I didn't remember where I was, what I was doing or
who everyone was and what they wanted.  I didn't have the heart to start
all over again and its sitting on the shelf.  Maybe one day...

Something I worked out on the 360 and rediscovered it yesterday is to
use the transport terminals, they save a lot of the running around,
and more importantly the arduous lifts.

Aha! I've discovered another problem.  If playing after a shed load of beer,
when you come back to it you have no frickin' clue what your drunk other
self did!
