because the sysop of the derby city bbs in KY decided to keep the fido APPLE

it isn't "fido" that is doing it... it is one sysop on one system that is doing
it...

and, i'll also note that there are still many folk who enjoy the apple machines
and won't go near a newsgroup because of the bad reputation that they got when
the spammers started harvesting addresses from newsgroups and spamming their
shite into the groups...

in any case, if it is a problem, take it up with the sysop of the derby city
bbs ;)
