Hi,

I have  a cakephp application running properly on localhost. but wen
hosted to hosting account giving 404 not found error.

and .htaccess files are not uploading...

can anyone tell me wats the problem....?

You said.  Your .htaccess files are not uploading.
Maybe you should try use CakePHP without mod_rewrite.
Uncomment the App.baseUrl configuration key in your
app/config/core.php file.

are the .htaccess files actually showing as failed transfer in  your
ftp client, or just not showing up on your remote server?

May not be useful, but in my ftp client (filezilla) dot files are
hidden until I tell it to force showing hidden files.
Just a thought.
