Gowanbrae Community Ride - Saturday 17th October
******************************************************
11:30am childrens playground in Elms Court, Gowanbrae (Melway map 16
B2)
Moreland Council is planning a community bike ride on Saturday 17th
October as part of the TravelSmart project we're doing there, and we'd
love some volunteers to assist to lead or sweep the ride. We've just
built a link to the Western Ring Road, and we want to showcase to
Gowanbrae residents how easy and safe it is to get to Gladstone Park
and down to Jacana Wetlands. It will be a very leisurely 7km ride
aimed at families.  There will be a community BBQ afterwards (open to
non-cyclists too), so volunteers will be fed!   If you're interested
in coming along and helping out, please contact Kylie Huard on t: 9240

The "Not the November Full Moon Ride" Ride - Saturday 24th October
******************************************************
7:30pm Federation Square, opposite Flinders St Railway Station.
OK we couldn't do a full moon ride in November coz everyone was going
to be out enjoying a long cycling  weekend in the country. So here's
more of a Waxing Crescent Ride instead with a BBQ, Bonfire (and maybe
some urban camping?) it could all be on.... We'll ride some 15-20k of
inner urban trails to a nice little spot where we can sit around a
fire, bbq things (or torture marshmallows) and shoot the breeze.... As
always, bring food, drink and good conversation to share.  Organizer -
