Hi all,
See below message from MEFL about a community climate action day in Moreland
this Saturday. MEFL has agreed to host some BUG flyers and sign-up sheet on
their stall; I can't make it along that day and I know it's very short
notice, but if anybody else did want to show up and represent the BUG for a
while, please let me know. Otherwise we will at least have some info there
and the ability for people to join the email list.
Cheers, anna

Dear MEFL board and MEFL members,
Saturday the 24th October is the International day of climate action,
where the 350 campaign is promoting the urgent need reduce atmospheric
CO2 concentrations to 350 parts per million. You can read more about the
international 350 campaign on www.350.org <http://www.350.org> .
Communities all over the world are organising visual statements and
activities based around the number 350.
MEFL is, through our Zero Carbon Moreland campaign, organising an event
along with Climate Action Moreland, CERES and Moreland City Council, and
we would love to have MEFL members and directors to come along.
The event will include:
> Sustainability stalls from different community groups (including a
MEFL stall promoting ZCM)
> A film on recycled water bottle musical instruments
> 350 Art work from local schools & students
> A bike maintenance workshop and giveaways
> The building of a 350 organic vegetable sculpture
> Coffee, tea and nibbles and a lot of people showing we need to take
action
When: October 24, 10am -1pm
Where: Coburg Concert Hall, Moreland Civic Centre, 90 Bell Street,
Coburg.
Your numbers are important in showing the action taken on the day! Drop
in for a quick look and a chat to the people in the stalls, come for
some tea or coffee and nibbles, help out to build a 350 sculpture of
organically produced food or see the art submissions by students around
Melbourne. There is some more information on the event in the attached
flyer.
Hope to see you all there, and feel free to bring friends and family!
Kind regards,
Malin
