Merry x-mas and happy chanuka

The year is drawing to an end and we had our last session at the Eco House for this season. We are starting back again on Thursday Jan 15th.

From personal experience and readings of statistics I have found that x-mas seams to be the period for stress, lonliness and deep sadness for some people.

You would have found me speak in the pages I post a lot about Graditute and compassion and I believe that such values have a lot of power when it comes to generating our own happiness.

Find an exerciece by Martin Seligman below............It is a gift you can give your SELF for x-mas..

The Gratitude/Appreciation Exercise

At the end of the day, after dinner and before going to sleep, write down three things that went well during the day. Do this every night for a week. The three things you list can be relatively small or large in importance. After each positive event on your list, answer in your own words the question: "Why did this good thing happen?"

This exercise was found to increase happiness and decrease depression up to 6 months after the week [note: 60% of participants carried on the habit]
