''Learned Optimism''
In his book ''Learned Optimism'' Martin Seligman targets people who are chronically and consistently pessimistic to point of misery. These are the people who might be so fearful of an earthquake they will move -- and find a location where a new fear manifests itself. And Seligman also discusses in this book the chronic optimistic, someone so sure that all is good and well that they deny an earthquake may disrupt their happy little world of goodness.
Enjoy!
