So, here's what I've learned:
- be early to the venue if you're an unorganiser
- have lots of markers, big labels (for name tags), butcher's paper,
Blu-Tack and Post-Its
- make sure the wifi works - Meraki FTW
- know the venue (we need to visit in the next week to scope it)
- be nice but firm on the time slots
- allow time slots for coffee and lunch
- watch for costs that you weren't told about (wifi cost this weekend)
- logistics matter for the social stuff - drinks, dinner, etc. so we
need to know numbers
- be careful about scheduling against the 2020 Summit, Cate Blanchett
had to turn us down ;)
BCS folks, anything I should add or have missed?
Steve
