Subject: P.S. to May 2 Arkansas Tornado Outbreak:

Hey Friends:
Just a P.S. to the May 2nd Arkansas Tornado Outbreak (the following from Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, May 6th issue). The final NWS assessment confirms that 9 twisters hit Arkansas, causing 7 deaths and 23 injuries.
  The twisters were 2 EF-3's (path length 45 miles [poss. 2 twisters] and 12 miles), 3 EF-2's (path lengths of 40, 7 and 2.5 miles) and 4 EF-0's (path lengths of 8, 3, 3 and 1 miles).
There was also a poignant story about John Hill, his wife Jackie and their 17-month-old daughter Lexi: John lost his job when a Feb. 5th tornado destroyed the Rivertrail boat factory in Clinton. Now they've lost their house (that they were renting), when a May 2 twister smashed it (in Center Ridge). Jackie & Lexi barely escaped injury/death when the tornado flung them through the air.

Now 1:13PM CDT Tuesday, just had a T-shower, the temperature is a cool 58F/14.4C (the forecast high for today is 79F/26.1C)!

  Kind Wishes~~~David Powell

Glad that you are okay David.  These storms are getting a bit too close for comfort for you.  I feel so sorry for all those poor people, including the family that you mention.

Judy
