Subject: PVA Vic.

Hi all.
An interesting V/Max approaching western Bass Strait, appears to be a 500hpa PVA max, a reasonable baroclinic band of cloud along the 500hpa trough, may produce some good rainfall near the Otways and west/south Gippsland today. This cloud band when west of Tasmania yesterday appeared more like a 'warm front' in the mid levels, although today the polar jet and a weak dry slot punches into the southwest quadrant....regards Clyve H
