Hi Clyve and other list members .I saw it on the JTCWC site and thought it was going to be big but nowhere near as destructive as it has been.I certainly agree with your comments.Some comments were made that the Burmese Government did not issue warnings?Can anone on the List confirm that story?
Also watching the volcanic eruption in Chile but not much S O 2 in this eruption which seems to be as big as the 1991 Pinatubo show.Not likely to impact the weather but it should be interesting to see if the pume reaches us.In 1991 Cerro Hudson  put up a very big signature around the time of the Pinatubo explosions, confusing the issue about the source of the weid atomospheric effects.
