Hi all ;
here's our summary for June, 2009 .
Average Max 12.7 (Av 11.7) +1.0
Average Min 4.7 (Av. 2.2) +2.3
Mean Temp; 8.7 (Av.7.0) +1.7
Rainfall ; 29.2mm on 15 days (Av 30mm) -39%
Max. Wind Gust 49km/hr 10th.
Fog 5 days
Frost 2 days
Snow 0 days
Hail 0 days
Thunderstorm 0 days
Remarks;
A quiet month with no extreme weather events. The max of 3.6 degrees during a fog on the 12th was the 2nd coldest Max in June at Gilmore since 1991. Nights were particularly warm with the average Min.Temp. 2.3 deg above the mean Second warmest Min.Temp since 1991, (the warmest). Max.Temp. also above the Mean for June. The Mean Temperaure also above average by 1.7 degrees.
Rainfall again below average with many days with less than 1mm with drizzle.
Many calm or light wind days.Cloudier than average.
Temperature trend continues upward for Min/Max and the Mean while rainfall continues a downward decline.
Far fewer frosts than usual but more fogs.
Snow fell on Brindabellas down to 800 m on the morning of the 10th.
