That "plenty" is mainly more of the same.
1 with all sport including Poker
C31 has them as well - not just mainstream
4 with repeats of what I saw when it was on before.
C31 has them as well - very old aka Classic.
5 with a mix of the above in HD
C31 digital might get that as well.
mehh.
Community television is where the new "talent" learns and hones skills
before they "graduate" to the networks. The lighting, camera, directorial
etc skills as well as those like "Rove", "Hamish and Andy", "Vasily's
Garden", "Salaam Cafe" concept of entertainment.
No so-called "Reality" shows either, a big plus.
Community TV gives various niche groups a place to air their issues,
spotlight their culture, or whatever.
The sort of thing TV used to do to promote the chance of having a future by
nuturing what they had.
The sort of thing they valued before they chose to concentrate only on
delivering audiences to advertisers, to the detriment of quality,
innovative and more expensive programs, adherence to scheduling times etc.
There is a lot on Community TV that I would not watch in a fit, but there
is also a lot that is either as good as is available on the networks, or at
least has the germ of an original worthwhile show.
YMMV, but that's the thing about range and choice.
