Seven's new FTA channel 7Two is using the 1972 Labor Party ad campaign song, "It's Time" to promoto their launch. They even have the celebrity singers holding up their fingers in the "V" victory sign also associated with Labor Party campaigns. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30tz---NFvg
Is THAT is the best the creative brains in the 7 promotions department can come up with?. It's a shame their target audience would be too young to understand the significance, albeit a stupid one, of the song used.
Considering it took them 8 months to get the channel up and running, maybe the promo should have been "It's ABOUT Time"?
It sure confused moi ~! So much so, that I renamed the channel 72 "Time" on two TV sets for a couple of days, then I had to rename the channel again to "7Two". Wish they'd jolly well frickin' well make up their frickin' minds ~!!!!

True story: I once worked as a schedular for 7, and the job paid less money than when I worked at a Woolies petrol station. Doesn't surprise me that they spent no money on the promo.

What has Stokesy have to do with either schedules or promos, pray tell? You are forgetting that Stokes is interested in profit and nothing else. The profit comes from the customers, and the viewer certainly isn't the customer. I've explained this before and I'll probably have to explain it to some other moron sometime in the future, but a GOOD programmer makes a better return (advertising dollar) for the money spent (cost of the show). There's no point paying $1million for a show if it is only going to return $500,000 in advertising revenue. It'd be better to spend $25,000 on the show and get $200,000 in advertising. It's really really simple maths, but morons like you just don't seem to get it. You seem to think that tv stations are there to entertain YOU.

Total cost to show re runs of afl matches - ZERO Total revenue from late night "sexy" ads, ring tone ads and Demtel ads - around $40,000 to $45,000 PER NIGHT. That's smart programming in anyones books.

Why do ALL of your posts eventually evolve into a discussion about placing objects into the human anus, pray tell?
