  Erm, 200 seats and oodles of spacefor suitcases, bicycles, etc &lt;br&gt; to 193 seats and very limited luggage space. &lt;br&gt; plus, you breath exhaust fumes all the way. (BTDT).

  From memory, on at least some of the units it would be difficult to do &lt;br&gt; this because the door slides into the wall of the unit, and the ledge is &lt;br&gt; flush with the wall. It might be possible to cut back the floor to the &lt;br&gt; door, but there might be a structural bar there, and this might fall &lt;br&gt; foul of the rules about the gap between the platform and the train.

  Simple solution would be to put a flare on the outside of the doors so &lt;br&gt; that the door tapers out flush with the outside edge of the step.

  I tried this at Town Hall platform 4 (up ESR). It took just over 1 minute. &lt;br&gt; To me, the problem isn&#39;t the trains - it&#39;s the stations. You get a pair &lt;br&gt; of trains arriving at Town Hall 5 &amp;amp; 6 in peak hour, and the platform &lt;br&gt; gets full rather quickly. &lt;br&gt; Matt.
