Haven't got alc on the 50, since the audio is fed to the SignaLink from the 
rear audio output jack, I use the main vol control on the rig to set the 
level, using the level indicator in MMSSTV. Since that results in the audio 
only going to the computer, I built a small doubler box with switch to get 
audio into a speaker, on/off as required.

The computer's audio level controls can also be used to set levels of 
incoming audio and output level for correct drive of the vox circuit in the 
SignaLink. Most of the correct settings can be determined by 
experimentation.
