Hi Peter Still here in a few places. I think though that more efficient use of BPSK31 is probably the most popular KB:KB mode around judging by the HF Cheers Bob VK2YQA > It's been a couple of years since I last operated the radio seriously - > One of the modes that did was Packet. Is packet still being used, or > Cheers > --
spectrum has meant those interested go off into 1:1 modes like PSK. I
remember that after the "faster" modes like 9600FSK, the HAPN4800 and
"newpsk" 8 carrier 2500BPS PSK (in SSB channel) packet seemed to lose
its charm. I know there is still some 1200BPS AFSK around here but I
dont use it myself.
noises I hear. There are also some real slow and narrow people using
WSPR, QRSS etc. I had a WSPR contact W5-VK2 on about 1W maybe 3 months
ago. My interest now is more on low data rate telemetry from the motor
vehicle and for that it looks like, Olivia will be the one to use. Thats
on 2m BTW.
