Had no luck with Ham Radio Deluxe with the R7000 (the 7100 isnt supported).
It seems to be HRD with the problem, as when I tried Spectrum Commander, both rigs connect up right away with no dramas. Only 'small' catch is the USD$160 asking price... a bit too rich for me, especially when so many other similar offerings have dissapeared off the face of the earth, leaving many high and dry with no support or upgrades.
So, just thought I'd ask here what (if any) software you've found to be worth trying? Prefer something Windows based for this particular machine - trying to get all the other stuff running under Linux is out of the question.
Oh, and if you know of anything to suit an Icom 208...

Might've been the cloning software? I have that, but wouldn't mind controlling it via the computer.

G'day Roj,
Thanks so much for letting me know - It'd be fun to see who is still around from the time I was with iinet. Are they propagating the hierarchy out into the wild, or simply allowing access to the iinet server? I guess I'll find out soon enough.
Funnily enough, I was only thinking the other day about Ray (Johnstone???) - the physicist in WA who is/was convinced that smoking tobacco was harmless.

Thanks for the info Bob, its promising that they are looking into a Windows port.
I have enough computers running as it is and cannot justify running another box just to run one app under Linux... but I'll certainly keep an eye on their progress.

Hey Roj, looks like a login/pass is required to use the iiNet server. None of the free servers I've tried carries the iinet.general. Any ideas on which ones do? Cheers.

Yeah, noticed my paid for server had it.
:(I access it via Bigpuddle.) :And I stole your "Tassie, it's all relative" line. ::-)

No worries, I checked on my paid server, it has the iinet hierarchy.
