Hi guys,looking for transmitter setup for sstv. what power can be used
please?

Im used to PSK31 setup with alc and power setup,but new to sstv..

Any help please ?? Cheers  PJ

As it's a full cycle mode, it's best to use a low power setting. I run my TS
50S at 25 watts usually and 50 if I need to punch a signal through the
noise. Running at full power for every tx will do your finals in!

i got a mk11g but i imagine the duty cycle would be similar to the TS50.
What about ALC ,or,lack of it as in psk31 ??

Haven't got alc on the 50, since the audio is fed to the SignaLink from the
rear audio output jack, I use the main vol control on the rig to set the
level, using the level indicator in MMSSTV. Since that results in the audio
only going to the computer, I built a small doubler box with switch to get
audio into a speaker, on/off as required.

The computer's audio level controls can also be used to set levels of
incoming audio and output level for correct drive of the vox circuit in the
SignaLink. Most of the correct settings can be determined by
experimentation.
