# Yes, The Economy needs careful monitoring, or the rip-off merchants will
get away from us.
Petrol Watch isn't mentioned any more, and Grocery Watch seems killed
off by the duopoly.
Milk wholesalers are imposing price reduction on already struggling
dairy farmers, many of whom may decide to leave the industry.  What then?
Import milk from overseas?
    But, back to Housing.
What is an Auction?  Essentially sale to the rich - ie. to the highest
bidder.
Govt grants to potential home-owners is mainly a gift to the vendor, who
jacks up price accordingly.
Same with assistance to pre-school parents, as the cost of such service
climbs beyond reach.
Rental is another racket; and while bond money can recompense
landlords, a strict regime on landlords to provide repairs, etc, seems
urgently needed.
Melbourne water bills are about to rise enormously, as current users
are forced to pay for capital works - instead of the govt raising loans.
If wages are controlled, then so too should be prices - or at least
monitored, with threat of control.
The more the average mug is ripped off by the profiteers, the slower
Recession recovery will be.
