I met the love of my life skydiving while at University.
Helen was from a Czech family, her father was an engineer, and former coach of their Olympic skiing team, her mother was the most charming, sophisticated woman I have ever met, (apart from her daughter, of course)

To compare two edges of the spectrum to each other lets look at Japan and the US. The US is ridden with crime, poverty and hatred. It is one of the most religious of those countries where people are allowed to choose their beliefs. Japan on the other hand is one of the least religious of these countries and has the least of these problems.

Nor do you need to, the societies that work are the ones where you are totally free to believe what you like. The real argument is "FORCED BELIEF" vs "FREEDOM OF BELIEF", that is what makes the difference. I have heard the call of long suffering atheists tired of the corruption and violence perpetrated in their name, who remember when atheism was a simple personal belief, not a violent and repressive political ideology that has terrorised, tortured and carried out Mass Murder and Crimes against humanity in half the world!
I call on all the decent, well meaning atheists to join ARM, the Atheist Reformation Movement, and purge it of the rabid and dogmatic fanatics which have seized the movement and made it anathema to all rational minds and decent folk.
Atheism, if it is to survive, must cease it's historical association with Mass Murder, torture, terror, repression, anti-theist persecution and pogrom, mass murder and other Crimes against Humanity.
