  There was a known fault with the Gen 1 bikes which was caused by &lt;br&gt; excessive valve guider wear. It seems predominantly on US and Canadian &lt;br&gt; models . There was I believe a factory repair carried out under warranty . &lt;br&gt; Maybe this one got away as it was stored for a long period . &lt;br&gt; Dave P
