All Vietnam Veterans In One Group...
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vietnam-the-longest-war/
Vietnam War veterans are now becoming the oldest, yet smallest, surviving war veteran population on our world.
Not since the end of the WWI Bonus Payment Registry in 1937 has a complete and accurate locator/contact list of an entire roster of veterans who participated in a specific war existed. Many Vietnam War veterans, for a variety of reasons, do
not belong to any veteran’s organization, yet some do. However, no veterans organization shares it’s membership roster and member contact information with other veterans groups. Therefore there is no single contact list for the remaining
and aging Vietnam War population (now estimated to be approx 800 to 900,000 and shrinking daily). Because there has been no national contact and information sharing group until now it has been difficult for veterans organizations,
university and government researchers, medical history data collectors, or veterans seeking former unit or ship members to contact all Vietnam vets when seeking info or desiring to provide it. THE LONGEST WAR INFORMATION EXCHANGE FORUM
attempts to provide a central contact point for all surviving Vietnam War veterans. There are no membership fees, no personal information questions, no segregation or preferences by Service Branch or military job description.
There are several options for receiving information communicated to the entire Forum [individual email, daily digest email, no email (view communications on the web at your leisure), etc.] Individual veterans, government officials,
researchers and representatives of veterans organization can use this Forum to contact thousands of Vietnam veterans at once. (Postings to The Forum are moderated solely to prevent spam.) The Forum is ‘moderated’ by Vietnam veterans.
If you served in Vietnam you are requested to ‘join’ (free) the non-political, non-agenda LONGEST WAR FORUM so that when any Vietnam War related news, research, or other activity deserves your knowledge or participation, you will at least
have the opportunity to learn about it... while at the same time preserving your personal decision to participate or ignore it.
