I think that is a normal side effect.

You might also try brushing them with a dry mascara brush.

Plus you would look kind of funny without any eyelashes. :(

Again, I think you should talk to your doctor.  There may be another
medication you can use that doesn't have this side effect.  If not, he
may have other ideas as to what should be done.  And if he says it's OK
to cut them, he should either do it himself or refer you to a qualified
professional.
