Anyone who has taken opiramate in the past might be able to answer it, unfortunately I can't find any sort of reference to long-term side effects. Lately I've noticed that for several hours or days at a time I cannot think beyond about two seconds into the future. Also it seems that during this time I have absolutely no sense of humor, and that my depression nicely gets worse. I was on topamax 75mg a night for about four months, then back on it again for about a week in May to see if it really was migraines that I suffered from. No go. I was also at the time on 16mg of periactine a night, and am still on 900-1200mg of gabapentin a day. Any input welcome.

Hi J T Laurie, I suppose you can get side effects from most meds for epilepsy, but I found this site for you on my google.
