Mainly pain. They are quite happy with the range of motion I have with it.
But I still have a lot of pain and lately I am having a lot of stiffness all
over plus severe pain in my SI joint for some reason. I am just trying to be
patient with the whole thing.

We think alike sometimes. Last week I made some very good chicken
and whole grain soup. The whole grain was from a package of Uncle
Bens, Whole Grain Santa Fe. Had Brown Rice, Wild Rice and Wheat
Berries. They looked like they looked like they needed some barley
for company so I threw in a handful of that too. Really good.

I can't see it that well myself, but since the doc said it might be
fungal, I figure it doesn't look like something that will open and
drain so far. I have it covered with gauze and an antibiotic now and
he said that was fine.
But also to get back first thing Monday if it isn't darn near cleared

Glad it was good news. Feeling like I am terrible from recovering too as it
has been over a month since my knee replacement and I am still spending the

Suggestion for you Jo, try using warm wash cloth on the area and watch for
drainage.
Sounds like it is an infection and that will help it ooze out of there.
Even better is warm salt water to draw out that yellow area and let it
drain. KEEP it
covered if you can, so not to spread the infection anywhere else.

wow, i am TERRIBLE at recovering from surgery! it's been a week and
i'm still kind of a mess (tho better than a few days ago...). i had my
first outing today and it was to my RD's office and i was shaky and
nauseous and my bp was all of 97/67 when it's usually on the high
side. i thought i was tougher than this. i am feeling old and feeble.

Anti TNFs don't increase cancer risk

So says my rheumy. She says the studies that showed an increased risk
of lymphoma etc were comparing people taking the Anti TNFs to "normal"
people. It's RA that increases the risk; not the drugs. So I guess
that falls into the good news/bad news category!

Doc says it is either a fungus (its in a fold of skin) or more likely
bacterial. I can't give him any clues as it doesn't either hurt or
itch. So I'm waiting to pick up some Keflex and an antifungal creme.

Hope its nothing, but last night as I was getting ready for bed I
found a large red sore on my lower abdomen. I took my MTX on Tuesday
and my Enbrel earlier Wednesday. It doesn't hurt but looks nasty.
About two inches square and dark red with a yellowish center. I'm
headed to the doctor now.
Could use some prayers.
