Thanks Squirrely I'm still around. Got the flu right now. Had a discussion with a surgeon about my aneurism and have made it official that I want to let things take it's course naturally with no more tests etc. That being said at the time I made that decision it had not got any larger. I follow the group faithfully and hope everyone is "as well as can be" Sincerely Lorrie F

Also, we (Bob and I) are not participating in the card exchange this year as we are trying to get our heads (mine, mostly) into retirement mode when there won't be as much disposable income coming in. I found it really hard to wrap my head around the idea of living on a limited income before Charlie retired. Seems all I could think about was what I wanted to do or to get before we couldn't.
Its been almost twelve years now, and hasn't been too bad, with the exception of last years stock market fiasco.

I was in an auto accident in October. Got a strained neck. A guy ran a stop sign and my daughter slammed on her brakes but we still t-boned him (on the rear right panel of his pickup). Totalled her vehicle. My other daughter, sitting behind me, got a cracked clavicle when she did the "soccer mom grab" for her year old daughter who was firmly strapped in and not going anywhere.
I've been seeing a chiropractor about it and he's got me feeling pretty good.
Two of my grandchildren and a cousin of one of them (no relation to me) who were with us weren't hurt so that was a blessing though the cousin got seen because she was throwing up after the accident. The daughter who was driving got a bruised elbow. All in all we did ok.
Other than that I'm doing pretty good. Moved to Iowa in September and I got a nice apartment.

oh man I hope you get better soon. I know how those accidents can mess us up so much. It doesn't take much sometimes. I feel for your daughter. I have problems with my clavicle ever since I messed it up.
I hope the other people had car insurance to deal with all the injuries and the car.

I'm loving it here. :) My kids are a mile from me and my church is a mile and half from me. The apartment complex I'm in is sort of like fourplexes actually. I'm walking distance from a cornfield.

Also there are good medical facilities. There's a hospital and the doctors at the adjoining medical clinic come on various days of the week from Mason City. There's a very good chiropractor here. He's doing wonders for me. There's a thrift shop here that has really good stuff at great prices. Got a nice TV stand for $10. Am going tomorrow to look for a small table to set my phone on. Might see about getting a saucepan and small frying pan. My only one is large and one egg looks kind of lonely in it and spreads out a bit thin.

Thanks Squirrely, I'm still here. New doc took me off the Humira and MTX because he said I didn't have RA ... several other A's, but not RA. Oh gee, whoops! Wrong move! Threw me into the biggest, baddest flare I've ever had. For months! Pain was horrendous and lack of mobility was extremely frustrating and aggravating. Since then, new doc has seen the error of his ways. LOL! Have had cortisone in my thumb joints ... ow. (Lovely bruising from those.) And more cortisone in my shoulders. Had a few months of PT for my back, etc., etc., etc. You know how it goes. LOL! Go back to see him next week and I guess we'll see what transpires then.
