Subject: Prayers for grand daughter
Grand daughter has been having numerous problems, has appointment at C
Clinic next week tues.   Getting worse all the time and no doctor in her
area thinks there is anything wrong. On top of that, her family doc refused
giving her her medical records from his office. THAT is illegal, grand
daughter 18 told him so. She is loosing her hair, skin tone worse, dry
brittle and disocolored,  vomiting and diarrhea, fatigue, joint pain and
skin odor all over her body.  Did full thyroid came back neg but family doc
refused to refer her.
So we called and bingo they will see her tues.  AMEN and please pray

They are sending her to internal medicine and then onto rheumatology.

Again family doc thinks this is stupid and he is just being well I won't
say it hear.
Pray they can help her and she finds some answers so she can get on with
her education in college.
thanks so much friends

Janers, if her thyroid is fine, have they checked her adrenal glands?
Also, I would think perhaps seeing an endocrinologist and maybe even a
dermatologist might be helpful, but seems like the endo might be helpful
in pinning some of these symptoms down.   Hope she can get some answers.

the skin odor all over might be some kind of bacterial infection coming out
that way. or a fungal infection.

I pray that she can get the help she needs and get her medical records.
Sounds like he has something to hide. Maybe he's gotten in trouble in the
past with some medical board (not necessarily in your area).

Oh, the poor girl.  I sure hope this is the answer for her and they will
find reasons for her problems.  I have heard doctors won't give the
records to the patient directly but are obliged to transfer them to
other medical facilities.  I have never had any problems getting my
records though.

They told her she might be seeing an endo after the internal medicine doc
does the checking out. I got a feeling yes to endocrinology as well as GI
too.  I say give her the works.  With my history from C Clinic they leave
nothing unturned for sure. if it is treatable or hiding somewhere they will
find it.  I had tests done I never heard of and I am a nurse.

All they checked this year was 2 weeks ago, antibodies for thyroid, and
full panel TSH and all the T's.  NO adrenals and no liver and No glands at
all. NOT even a complete metabolic profile or even CBC.  believe that?  AT
one time when she was younger she was so anemic and still was a few years
ago. They said take iron vitamins.  Well she did that and still is pale and
low.  But did they follow up? Nope they said stress from HS and well what
ever they could blame it on.  We fought but to no avail.  My daughter did
what she could, took her a few places but some would not see her LIKE an
endocrinologist with out referal by the family doc who says NOPE...so
GOT ya doc.

Funny my GD told me and her mom, said "when I find out what is wrong, I am
marching in his office and throwing the results in his face and tell him
off. She just has graduated from HS last summer and was headed for college
but being so sick she could not. fun thing, she wants to be ONE Of them
Criminal mind people.  Her major is Criminology and minor in law.   Think
she would tell him off?  YEPPER.
lol.

I am sure with God's following her, she will be safe and they will find the
answers they need to treat her.

Lots of prayers coming.  Nothing is worse than not knowing what's wrong.
Once you get a diagnosis, you can treat it, but without a diagnosis, you are
just treating symptoms.

The Cleveland Clinic is a superb facility (I've been there).

One possibility: Crohn's Disease. It is miserable and could lead to all
kinds of malabsorption problems, which could explain the other stuff.

Given the symptoms you mentioned, how could any doctor in good conscience
just blow her off like that?

As we have discovered, too many doctors don't seem to have a conscience.  We
are all praying for her.
