Republican congressional candidates remain ahead of Democrats in the
latest edition of the Generic Congressional Ballot.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 42%
would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate while
38% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent.

Voters not affiliated with either party continue to heavily favor
Republicans, 41% to 21%. (Thats' those independents who determine how
elections turn out).

In Virginia's Governor race, Republican Robert F. McDonnell has opened a
thirteen point lead over Democrat Creigh Deeds.

Overall, 48% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the
President's performance. Fifty-two percent (52%) disapprove.

Fifty-seven percent (57%) of voters nationwide believe the health care
proposal being considered by Congress would raise the cost of care while
53%believe the quality of care would go down. Still, 45% support the
plan and 54% say it is at least somewhat likely to become law.

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
Wednesday, October 28, 2009

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday
shows that 30% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that
Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent
(41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index
rating of -11 (see trends). Republicans lead by four on the Generic
Congressional Ballot.

Eighty-five percent (85%) trust their own judgment more than reporters
and 53% say the average reporter is more liberal than they are. Sixteen
percent (16%) say reporters are more conservative.

In Virginia's Governor race, Republican Robert F. McDonnell has opened a
thirteen point lead over Democrat Creigh Deeds.

Forty-seven percent (47%) of baseball fans expect the Yankees to win the
World Series this year while 32% pick the Phillies.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number
who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is
updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail
update). Updates also available on Twitter and Facebook.

In New Jersey’s race for Governor, Republican Chris Christie clings to a
3-point lead over incumbent Jon Corzine. The big news in next week’s
election is that third party candidate Chris Daggett is losing ground.

In Massachusetts, 49% say Governor Deval Patrick (simple-minded
dummycrat) should step aside rather than run for re-election.

When it doesn't put your lord and messiah Hussein in a good light, then
they aren't credible. Other polls agree with Rasmussen, guess they
aren't credible either.
