Subject: Alcoholism On TV
Which TV series have you seen that feature alcoholics?

The series Babylon 5 (involving a space station used as an interstellar
meeting place, like the UN) had such a character, named Garibaldi.  He
had drunk several years before the series, but stopped.  Then during
season 5, he went on a binge in response to an interstellar war, and
also in response to the fact that a telepath had placed a post hypnotic
command on him.  He eventually went to another telepath, who said that
she couldn't cure him.  She did say that she could remove the other
telepath's command, but she first wanted him to help her free her fellow
telepaths from Psi Corps control.
