I know I did that for 3 years PRIOR to my current sobriety date in July, 1980. Many drug/alcohol abusers are apparently unable to differentiate between pot and alcohol. However, giving pot to a real alcoholic in need of a drink would be like giving a eunuch tickets in the Calgary hooker raffle. Bob.

Government Help
... Sarge, I'm against government controls and in favor of self control on this one. I wouldn't want to see somebody selling raffle tickets at a I'd sooner the gummint banned smoking at meetings rather than worry about raffles. Mind you, the gummint did, indirectly, ban the hooker raffle at my home group. Cheers, Lech.

Unity
I respect the way anyone stays sober, be it sweatlodge ceremonies, hooker raffles, or even adherence to AA dogma. I don't think I'm all that rare. ... The raffle is wonderfully bizarre: anything from screwdriver kits, to stuffed animals, to garden tools! No hookers tho - maybe I'll suggest it! Grace.

Thought for Today - Feb 1
Doesn't Montreal have a hooker raffle meeting somewhere? Yeah, me too, moreso than I'd discuss here. But needing it doesn't make it happen. Drinking gave me one advantage: Being where there are actualy single women. Women in AA, few, far between, swarmed by "old-timers" and mostly married anyway. ...
