Hurting homosexuals in AA
On the other hand, if a fanatic ever looks you in the eye, it probably means he or she is going to kill you or try to. These observations, as far as I know are not documented anywhere but I have had some opportunity, in my life, to see fanatics up close. I have seen both of these situations you describe, ...

Grace, this run was for you...
At one time, I was a runner fanatic. Every day 5-7 miles a day and 10-20 on the weekend. Two knees surgeries slowed me down and when alcohol came back into my life, that addiction prevailed over the running one. Now I don't count miles anymore. I just run by the clock and I don't really run but I 'jog'. ...

Genes are not the cause of Alcoholism
Have a nice day; Bryce L. Martin hahahahahahahah...birds of feather....... although I think there is an integrity question in teaming up with a arfer posing as a relgious fanatic. But if you are both arfers, it's no mystery. arfers minds are as closed as many AA minds. I don't agree with Ted's religious fanaticism, ...

A Thought to Ponder...
I don't care for just about any fanatic or extremist. A Thump is a fanatic in my book. There is no 'moderate' Thump. Dig? why do you lump them all together? I've made disclaimers about *all* Thumps but I guess you missed that or you wouldn't ask, right? my early years were surrounded with THUMPS, including my ...

Don't know
If you are a fanatic believer in God, but don't care for the suffering of others or if you are an atheist and are trying to help others where you can, who would be God's favorite? Imagine yourself to be a parent of an rebelious kid that won' t listen to you. You tell it (for example) it shouldn't give away it's ...

Besides being a fanatic (and I've dealt with fanatics face to face from the time I was a kid) they create criteria other than the Third Tradition for being in AA . ... They're getting uppity
And I know that fanatics like to counter by saying that I'm obsessed, extreme, fanatic. Yawn. How clever. But then, how else can he demonize anyone that doesn' t happen to ... You know the good thing about fanatics and extremists is that they can't not reveal their hand. Hey Virt, do a Sharx attack. You can do it. ...

Quad A, (The God deal's getting thick again)
That seems to describe an AA guru/fanatic, who spends most of his time reacting badly to opposing views, yet is trying to convince everyone that he is a loyalist. He is insecure and has no self-confidence. What is there to debate? These are the people who comply and never really surrender. Jimb.
