86 results for hooker raffle
Sure, I've Had a Hooker (was: Re: what does this ng do best?)
I dunno Lech, did you ever <ahem> get win the hooker raffle? Can someone
enlighten me maybe even from personal experience about this? Any women out there
ever paid for a male prostitute? I don't think I'd participate in a hooker
raffle, myself. Not sure why. Morally, I'm not opposed to casual or purchased
sex. ...

Use of marijuana whilst remaining sober?
PS That group lasted only a few months--everyone in it got drunk. Now I'm really
scared. We have a meeting in this area where they used to have a hooker raffle
once a month - it's been going for over forty years. Can we then conclude that
your group will have longevity if you auction whores once in a while? ...

Re Spiritual Experience
I have been at meetings where they had a hooker raffle, had an official roll
call, or had a NCO i/c newcomers. One meeting I found unusual was on Vancouver
Island - it was a couples group. The idea seemed to be that AA'ers attended with
their SO's - whether the latter were drunks or not Cheers, Lech Still in ...

AA-No Free Ride
And there was the whole big argument at one point about whether NA groups
intended for HIV positive addicts were really NA at all, since "the only
requirement for membership is a desire to stop using", yada yada yada... and HIV
is an outside issue, etc. One group in Calgary ran a hooker raffle once a month,

How Massage Therapy Helped Me quit Drugs
They tend to concentrate on removing the stress from the lower extremities but
it does leave one with a great sense of being "flushed out." BTW, if you go with
a friend and let them know that you are in AA, they will usually do a "2 for 1"
deal. They want to get the hooker raffle's going again in the AA Groups. ...

Womens/Mens Groups
The closest thing I have seen to it was some years ago when some outraged AA'ers
tried to get my home group delisted because they held hooker raffles. It's still
listed, although the hooker raffles were cancelled Hooker raffles are still held
here in many of the French groups. The deal is that you keep your pants ...

new booklets how to work with Drug User
Oh, somewhere there is a display -- what we do for any newcomers is offer them a
first step meeting, a newcomer packet and a big book and a ticket for the hooker
raffle. OK, just kidding about the ticket. 7th tradition is fine. We even send
off our benevolences to the district, state, and national coffers. ...
